Our Work in Action
United for Change operates across four key program areas, each designed to prevent violence, empower youth, and restore hope in neighborhoods most impacted by gun violence and systemic neglect.
Youth Empowerment
We believe young people are not the problem, they are the solution. Our youth empowerment programs offer mentorship, life skills training, and leadership development. We create safe spaces for expression, growth, and guidance so that young people can become agents of peace in their own communities.
Violence Intervention
Our intervention team works directly in the streets — mediating active disputes, interrupting retaliatory violence, and preventing bloodshed before it starts. We collaborate with local community members and families to identify high-risk situations and resolve them through dialogue, presence, and trusted relationships.
Education & Advocacy
We provide workshops and training on conflict resolution, trauma healing, and civic awareness. These programs help youth and families navigate systems, know their rights, and build a voice that demands change. Advocacy isn’t just part of our mission, it’s part of our survival strategy.
Community Healing & Development
Our work doesn’t stop at intervention. We support long-term healing through community events, restorative circles, and partnerships with schools, churches, and grassroots organizations. We also engage in neighborhood beautification and public safety campaigns to reclaim space and rebuild dignity.
